Collaboration with local industry and materials<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In order to provide a rich experience maximizing the mountains surrounding Takayama, the building was made with an abundance of Japanese cedar from the nearby forests and hardwoods from Gifu Prefecture.<\/p>\n

We created an elegant space making the most of the region\u2019s quality resources with Hida Sangyo<\/a>, a professional wooden furniture manufacturer representing Hida Takayama, as a collaboration partner.<\/p>\n

History as a food wholesaler and bank<\/h2>\n

cup of tea : ensemble’s building began its history as the flagship store and warehouse of a food wholesaler half a century ago. It was later used as a bank before being renovated into the current inn.<\/p>\n

Taking over the building\u2019s history as an indispensable place for the everyday activities of the locals, we strive to operate an inn that continues to provide new possibilities for the town.<\/p>\n
